DC Current Monitoring Relays

Designed specifically to indicate when 600–1000 VDC powered electrified rail track heaters and snow-melters are on or off. Normally open relays close when monitored current exceeds a preselected value, providing local or remote indication that current is flowing to the monitored load. Widely specified by transit authorities for use inside heater cases controlling track heating circuits.

  • Negligible insertion loss — less than ½ watt at full load
  • Two sets of isolated contacts for local or remote indication
  • Provides positive indication that power is on to monitored load
  • Includes ring-type compression lugs and rubber boots for #6 AWG 2 kV cable
  • Smaller cable: use lugs which fit ¼″ stud terminals
